Bangladesh to host ABU RadioAsia Conference 2019

‘This year’s Radio Asia will dig deep into Radio’s continuing appeal with the theme of ‘Radio all Around Us: More than just a medium’

Bangladesh will host the “Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) RadioAsia Conference 2019,” and “Radio Song Festival” from October 29 to 31 for the first time.

Bangladesh Television, and Bangladesh Betar will welcome delegates to the ABU RadioAsia 2019 Conference in the capital city, while Bangladesh Television will host, record, and distribute the international song festival gala concert performances.

ABU Head of Radio Olya Booyar said in a statement yesterday: “This year’s Radio Asia will dig deep into Radio’s continuing appeal with the theme of ‘Radio all Around Us: More than just a medium’.” Reports UNB.

“Experts from across the region, and around the world will bring their experience, thoughts, and theories to our region’s premier radio content conference to answer the key question: What makes Radio so enduringly special?” she added.

The three-day conference will bring together leading radio professionals, policymakers, communication specialists, manufacturers, suppliers, and academics from across the Asia-Pacific region, and elsewhere in the world.

“There will be many must-attend sessions and discussions, together with demonstrations and information booths to provide delegates with specialized knowledge, and resources to play a part in the development of the radio industry in the years to come,” Olya said.
